Eloquence and Truths
Eloquence and Truths are what a hip hop group should be; best mates getting together putting raps to beats, for the sake of nothing else but good music and good times.
Both emcees had spent their fair share of time collaborating with other artists and performing in different groups, but often found freedom and solace in writing purely for themselves. From 2007 to 2008 Truths was penning thoughts on a journey through the UK, and Eloquence was escaping the grind, turning freestyles and metaphors into verses in his head.
Truths returned home from abroad, and he and Eloquence got together to catch up and show each other the solo EPs they were working on. They were so impressed with each other’s lyrics and content they started talking about a double EP of some sort. DJ Butcher (Pure Product’s DJ and also Truths’ brother) got wind of this and started pumping out the beats like a man possessed. Extra verses were written, songs and hooks were merged and two EPs became a beast of an album.
“First came the live show, then came the records…” so with the album almost ready to go, the boys knew they had to test their new stuff on stage. In only a few months they have blazed a trail around Queensland, earning them supports for the likes of Drapht, The Funkoars, Horrorshow and Spit Syndicate and a reputation as one of the most engaging shows in the local scene.
