Well it was yesterday, when I hooked up with renowned Sydney writer Days One DCA and Dean to rock a back yard production at King Of Nothing HQ.

Warm sun, cold beers, Ironlak's, BBQ feast and Newo behind the lens equals a fucking rad day!

The Leg Up Design Contest

Last week we told you guys we had some exciting news to announce...drum roll...KON has joined forces with THUNDAMENTALS to provide you with fresh merch to rock to spot.

Respected Sydney Hip Hop crew THUNDAMENTALS have been getting your heads nodding from bedrooms to festivals across Oz since their self titled E.P in 2008.

To celebrate THUNDAMENTALS impending release of their sophomore album FOREVERLUTION Along with their recent signing with Sydney clothing label KING OF NOTHING apparel, THUNDAMENTALS & KON are offering a unique opportunity to all up and coming artists + designers around Australia to design THUNDAMENTALS new T-Shirt!

Artists and Designers are encouraged to be as creative as possible with their designs, entrants will be shortlisted and judged by a panel of hotshots from the Art and Hip-Hop community and Thundamentals Fans. The winning design will be sold on tour and in stores nationwide

Winners will receive a KON / THUNDAMENTALS prizepack which will include $500 cash, tickets to THUNDAMENTALS album launch tour, a signed copy of the coming album, and a one off T-Shirt in the colourway of your choice.

The theme for the T-Shirt should be inspired by THUNDAMENTALS new single PAINT THE TOWN RED.

DESKTOP MAGAZINE

A big  congratulation are in order, KON Feature Artist Andrew Millist aka 'Pencil Rebellion' has been featured in the current culture of design publication, Desktop Magazine.

PR is the artist behind Hiphoptimus Prime, Girl meets Boy and the 'Looks can Kill' limited edition skate deck series for KON.

Keep an eye out for this amazing illustrator with some dope new projects coming to fruition in the coming months.

Out of the office…

Whats up people!

The team at King of Nothing with be out of the office from the 22 March till the 10th of April 2011 on a well deserved break from the daily grind.

 

During this time no internet orders will be posted. 

 

The coming Winter Collection 'Daily Habits' will be dropping upon our return from sampling the French Powder and San Fran Flavour, and it's going to be rad!

FIXING THE SHADOWS

In today's world of twitter, facebook, tumblr, and various other social and media platforms, we are bombarded with a vast array of visual stimulation and information by the hour... But can you hold it?

A crew of like minded individuals from Brisbane have created FIXING THE SHADOWS zine to provide the consumer with something permanent, a curated collection of images depicting the life around them, that can be collected and kept forever.
