The Walls Are Dancing

What up people!

Stumbled across this little gem while I was checking out  Visual Kontakt.

WALLS ARE DANCING : "This summer, we invited mural painter Matt W. Moore to create a series of live painting performances on walls in MARSEILLELYON, and PARIS. Directors Le Groupuscule captured the evolution of each mural, gathering over 700,000 pictures, that were edited as a stop-motion animation to an unreleased track by Monsieur Monsieur : "Walls Are Dancing", to create this music video. This collaboration of 3 artistic disciplines to make walls dance is part of the global initiative : Let's Colour Project.

James Freiberg Solo Show

Head on down to Oh Really Gallery  tonight 6pm and get amongst the opening of James Freiberg's Solo Show.

James Freiberg’s use of a loose painting style combines cultural pop icons and classic still life studies, “I paint to visually entertain.  Organised chaos is an element of my works, some more so than others”. James Freiberg’s visually stunning style is emotional and compelling and has recently become highly collectable as he’s exhibited not only throughout Australia but Internationally as well.

Some of James Freiberg’s achievements has been the rare honour to exhibit in the Shanghai International Art Fair in 2007. His work has been published in the Shanghai International Art Fair Official catalogue and auctioned at numerous Auction houses in Australia. Finalist in the Brunswick Street Gallery Art Prize. He has studied with David Paulson, dual Archibald finalist & studied at Julian Ashton Art School. His work has been collected both Nationally and Internationally.

Peace.

Horrorshow

What up, Horrorshow will be playing for free tonight at Beach Road Hotel Bondi from 8pm.

It's gonna be a big one with support from DJ Ability , Mike Who, and Shantan Wantan Ichiban, you don't want to miss this!

Horrorshow bring the energetic optimism and anxiousness of post-school pre-mortgage times to life, with vividly true poetics. The coming to terms with what will ultimately be lifelong memories: from overseas travel and the perspective it provides; to self-realisation and adulthood. The lyrical and musical sophistication defy their youthfulness – but they play it humble and earnest, stripping away any pretension. In a short 18 months they’ve built up a loyal and expanding fanbase – playing Sydney Big Day Out, Groovin the Moo festivals, national tours with Hermitude and Muph & Plutonic as well as receiving an ARIA nomination and taking out Best Album for The Grey Space in Ozhiphop.com’s 2008 awards. Their connection is immediate with younger people but the maturity of their outlook has earned them the respect of older heads.

See you there,

Peace
