Here are some of the photos from the night.

Pumped to get this one finished its going to look killer!

Backyard Play

A couple of months ago the crew at KON were invited to participate in Backyard Play an exciting and unique concept put on by our good friends at PRIMO! Magazine and The Outsiders.

It was  an epic day filled with beers, painting, beats, BBQ's, laughs and sunshine.

Daniel and Will captured the action in a film documenting the day. The film will be screened on the Opening Night at Plump Gallery , this Thursday the 8th of December, alongside photography and the artworks created on the day.

So come down and check out the full cycle of creation from 5 very different artists from 5 very different backyards.

CAM WALL.  SPRINKLES.  KON.  MR SWEET.  TEEM.

Here is what it is about. Peace.

Backyard Play is a celebration of the notion of home, nostalgia and diversity. Every upbringing in this country is set against a different backdrop, and the concept of “play” is defined in a myriad of ways. Where the backyard of one persons childhood was a grassy garden in suburbia, yours may have featured the bush, the desert, the sea, the farm or the CBD. Our project is designed to unite the Australian community through art and shared experience, and there is no more perfect concept to launch this regular event than this.

The first exhibition has been preceded by a collaborative day of creation, where artists created works inspired by the theme of Backyard Play with media including aerosol, pen and paint on canvas. The day was documented on camera and film, and this footage has been edited into a number of trailers and a documentary that will be screened as part of the exhibition.
We invite you to be part of our debut show.

Where & When – Plump Gallery, 240 Enmore Rd, Enmore

Acclaim X Ken Done X Amy Finlayson

To celebrate their 25th Issue the crew at ACCLAIM Magazine teamed with Iconic Australian Artist Ken Done to design the cover.

With the help of Sydney model Amy Finlayson two Cover were created.

Dubbed the 'Australia Issue' ACCLAIM takes the focus off looking to Europe and America for progressive creative design, art, music and culture, but instead to look in your own backyard and get amongst the vast array of culture and creativity us Aussies have to offer.

Check out this nice little edit of the shoot by Trevor King.

Enjoy.
